Travel By Grace
Booking Terms
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These general terms provide a starting point for bookings with Travel By Grace. The final route, timing, price, payment schedule and any special conditions will be agreed directly with Lucille du Toit before a booking is confirmed.
Quotes and confirmation
Quotes are based on the information supplied at the time of enquiry and may change if the route, dates, waiting time, passenger count, luggage, third-party costs or other requirements change. A booking is confirmed only when Lucille accepts it directly and any requested deposit has been received.
Advance notice and availability
At least two days’ notice is preferred. Earlier booking is recommended for weekends, events, Cape Town journeys and trips requiring accommodation or activity arrangements. All bookings remain subject to Lucille’s availability.
Payment
Payment may be made by cash or instant EFT. A deposit may be required to secure a booking, with the balance payable before or on the travel date as arranged with Lucille. Third-party accommodation, activity or ticket costs may need to be paid earlier.
Cancellations
- More than seven days before travel: a deposit may be refunded or transferred, less any non-refundable third-party costs already committed.
- Two to seven days before travel: a partial cancellation charge may apply, and some or all of the deposit may be retained depending on costs and arrangements already made.
- Less than 48 hours before travel or non-arrival: the deposit is normally non-refundable, and any committed third-party costs remain payable.
Lucille will always explain the cancellation conditions that apply to your specific booking before confirmation.
Third-party arrangements
When accommodation, activities, tickets or other services are arranged on your behalf, the provider’s own availability, payment, cancellation and refund terms also apply. Travel By Grace is not responsible for changes or failures outside Lucille’s reasonable control.
Passengers, child seats, pets and luggage
Travel is generally suitable for up to five passengers. A sixth passenger may be considered depending on seating, luggage and the journey. Child seats must be requested when booking. Pets require prior arrangement. Passengers must disclose any requirement that could affect safe or practical transport before confirmation.
Delays and changes
Reasonable efforts will be made to follow agreed times and plans. Weather, traffic, road closures, flight changes, emergencies and other circumstances may require adjustments. Any major change will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.
Conduct and safety
Passengers are expected to behave respectfully, follow reasonable safety instructions and avoid conduct that could endanger the driver, passengers, vehicle or public. Travel By Grace may refuse or end a journey where safety is at risk.
